A Late Night!

Little did I know that it was time for the annual Old Shawnee Days again! Where does the time go? We have taken JP every year since he was 8 months old but we have never ventured out on a Friday night. *gasp* We didn't get home until 10:30!

We got there about 6:30 and immediately went to the rides. JP wanted to ride the Merry Go Round and then he wanted to try his luck at the horse race game where you roll the golf ball up the ramp and if you get in the top hole the horse goes the farthest, next hole down... not so far, etc. I knew he didn't have a chance with everyone else playing so I played next to him (I never lose this game. Seriously!) So we played and yes... I won. JP got a cute alligator that he has named "Mr. X-Ray Machine" or "Mr. X" for short. Where does he come up with these things?

It was time to move on to the moonbounce. Always fun for JP! He loves those. Then he wanted to try the mega-fast super inflatable slide. I didn't think he'd like it since the last time he did it (last fall) he was one and done. Nope! He loved them. So he went over... and over... and over. We used up all of our tickets on the different super slides except for the obstacle course super slide. He was all over that but had a tough time getting over the high wall where you climb with a rope. I'll give him credit... he didn't give up! He finally made it.. GO JP! Then he got to go down the mega slide on the other side.

Our night ended with a concert. Ever heard of The Marshall Tucker Band? Yes... the same band that's been around for about 40 years. They were pretty good and JP entertained us with his "dancing". We enjoyed the music but cut it short so we left about 10pm. Now both boys are asleep and I'm here! Aren't you glad?

OH! Yes.... we had a funnel cake!
