JP had school today and of course had a great time. When I picked him up I actually got to talk to the teacher for a minute since there weren't any other mothers there at that time and I asked how he was doing so far this year. She told me he was doing really well and they are all learning about their boundaries with each other. JP likes to go right up to the other kids and sort of get right in their face when he talks to them. I'm sure this can be intimidating, especially since he's so much bigger than his classmates. I've seen him do this and we try to tell him to back off and talk to them and his teachers are working with all of them about boundaries and learning to read each others facial expressions/body language. Of course it's a learning process and it's all typical for this age. I'm just glad he's being so social!
Then they had some lessons today using some graph charts and they were learning about More/Less, etc with reading the graphs. JP went first and told the teachers the answers (he's good at this sort of thing) and when it was the other students' turns he kept answering FOR them. She had to correct him on this and tell him that it was THEIR turn and she knows that he knows the answers but he needed to let them have their turn. Again, a learning process but I'm happy to hear that he's doing well!
I guess they painted today in the "art area" but JP said he didn't paint. That's ok! I had him using the glue stick the other day and he did great so he's more interested than he used to be!

MOG, Heather - I'm so not surprised that he's such a smartie. Too funny that he's also a "close-talker"! :D MASO
JP is such a smartie! I am always so impressed by the things he can do!
Sounds like he's doing so well! He's such a smartie!
